It is terrible to witness someone you love deteriorate before your eyes. I've heard a lot of people talk about the experience and I have read about it and seen it on television, but none of those things compare to real life experience in this area. I guess the first part is living with an understanding that it is not about you. What is happening is happening because it is happening. It is the fault of nobody. I can understand how people can be selfish in this kind of situation and speak about themselves and how they feel. I suppose I can say with certainty that the person I once knew no longer exists. She was gone a long time ago. In the big scheme of things, what is happening could be viewed as somewhat of a blessing. Maybe that's just me looking at the bright side of things... a rare occurrence in my life. I guess there will always be music that moves me and the game that brings me the most joy.
