Many days

Many days I wake up knowing full well that I will be doing virtually the same thing I did yesterday. Many days I go to bed thinking about the same things I have to do tomorrow that I did today which was exactly and precisely like the day before that. Many days I wake and say today will be different. Today is the day I do something new and exciting. So instead of getting gas at Shell, I went across the street to Chevron and paid a little more. Now for me that's a stretch. All bs aside, do we really need structure?

designs on you

It draws you in like television. It holds you and keeps you until you sleep and dream of the same. In the time shadows, you will be safe and sound under the calm of that which you will never be responsible for. You will use excuses learned in your travels; your mind travels that allow you to never change yet change in your minds eye. That is its design. That is why it draws you in; because you have come to rely on it to get you through each trying day. It draws you in like television and you don't even care to know its power over you. Again, that is part of its design.

my repercussions/yours

Escapism is not unique to the American experience, it has just never been as pervasive as it is now. We can become comfortable within ourselves completely by simply severing the link between what occurs outside our home to what occurs inside our home. The maintenance involved in this idea has far too great a consequence to even be considered however as this is because human beings naturally link everything we see and feel together. If, along the way of our dreams we find someone who strikes us, then we simply add them to the already existing imaginary files to be referred to at the most convenient times. From there we can operate fluidly and safely with no repercussions of fancy.
