No matter what time of day I decide to get in the truck and go someplace, inevitably I will have to wait for a car or multiple cars to pass before i can proceed. Yet every time I am outside I hardly see a car pass by. If I do, I guess I don't notice them. Maybe that's it; I live on a freeway... a damn freeway. I'll be living by a freeway soon enough.

I have yet to historically hear about or see any evidence of "things" going with us when we die. There is no record anywhere that shows how money and things get to move with us along our next journey. Yet, while we are trapped in these temporary bodies none of us chose we are compelled as human being to compete for rewards such as trophies, jobs, etc. I remember being in junior baseball. Those days were fantastic! I learned the importance of practice and preparation. I learned how to lose and more importantly how to win. There was a romance in life during those days that will never be topped for me. I know I am not alone as there are many people today who owe much of what they have to the experiences they had playing a team sport. We later on forget that much of what made us a success at one thing also has allowed us to distance ourselves from the things that have real and true meaning in our lives. We see it all the time when people become the very definition of what it means to be successful. We associate "things" with being successful. We see things for more than the symbols they are as we seek out ways to bypass altogether the lessons we learned at a young age... in some capacity. Successful people do the things they love and enjoy doing. They DO the things they enjoy and love doing, DOING. They understand things are to be used... not displayed like banners in a hall.

Sure enough what I found was what I believe to be an error coin. I mean, I could go through a hundred rolls of coinage and not come across such an error. I don't even know if it's a known variety or just machine doubling. In any case, it's different.

Right now in this country we have a problem. One side calls it this and one side calls it that... and then you have those who are far too busy with their routines to really pay attention. Do they do that in Russia? China? Now, right here in the land of the free and the home of the brave we are constructing a wall that will keep out dangerous criminals. I am hearing so much moaning and groaning over The Second Amendment and the implications of doing something on a federal level to somehow control the misuse of weapons that are designed for one thing and one thing only... to strip away human flesh from the bones that hold it upright. Once you cut through layer after layer of horseshit, you find one thing to be at the heart of it all... money! Another kid uses a weapon designed for murder and war kills 17 kids at their own school and wounds a number of others. I watched a bit of the news and saw two politicians from Florida talking about porn being more dangerous than assault weapons. Well, the issue with such a statement is the fact that porn is like an apple while ar15 mowing down 17 kids in a public school is most definitely not an apple. They were fast talkers and could probably sell a raspberry snow-cone to a woman with white gloves. Again, once you get past the bullshit, it comes down to the money and revenue streams in the billions. Fear sells guns... turn your fucking television off!

For a small portion of the population, the journey to finding the self is a long one. The reason it is so difficult to find is because we all walk into the very same trap. The moment we cross that line, our objectives, our motivations, and our vision of ourselves and our place in this world is altered forever. And with that alteration comes the removal of the dream, the drive, and the motivations of youth (killing or setting aside the id). We search our entire adult lives for those moments that remind us of our more imaginative years... where all the dreams and ideas had their beginning.

I think we all know the terrible stories of people losing everything and then going back to their room and blowing their brains all over the walls. Those tragedies are very real, but there is so much more to lady luck than the few bad hands she has a tendency to deal you. You just have to understand they are coming. Most of the time, the bigger wins come when you least expect them. They always come when you least expect them....

It is during that storm you get to see spirits. People miss the point with people who talk about their boozer daze. Believe it when we all understand completely the choices we made. So that is really a deal breaker kinda thing when somebody says, "well fuck dude, you chose to drink. what did you think was going to happen?" I mean, what is gained from what is known already? They talk more about the things they love, the things that make them wonder, they think on a different level. The word "work" is rarely used. I don't think happy people know what work really is like. I guess loving what one does makes work a rather bland way to look at the beautiful things in this life.
