We gradually flow from one idea to the next wondering when the next bolt will come. There is no doubt it will come, but usually it comes at inopportune times that require some effort to organize. Usually, the time required is a matter of seconds when the initial shock arrives depending on the severity or importance of the message. The times when it comes running like an open faucet is altogether confusing and sometimes difficult to decifer but still the messages are clear enough for me to remember the original meaning. Without meaning the shock loses its relationship to that which is real making the rest of the process pure conjecture based in hope.
Sometimes there is no flow, just an empty space in decline of new thought patterns. This is when the darkness comes. The dark bolts are fun to ride for two reasons: They give me the chance to see the truth in people while being able to measure how far away they are from their personal truth. Nowadays, we have greater and greater distances between what is true and good for us and that which is a lie and false for us. The dark places are easy to get caught up in and sometimes leaving is very hard to do. We become comfortable with being uncomfortable and justifications inevitable ensue.
The flow of ideas come at different times but they all have meaning and they all are directly involved with something, some void, some passionless pit inside that needs correcting. Once corrected, the flood-gates open wide and then the positive flow commences. From a positive place, the vortex becomes colorful and full of delights.
