media infatuation
Infatuation with media propels us into the unknown, leading us on to new vessels from which to cling too to get us through. Words come through the lips all the same. Images appear on-screen all the same. " The world moves fast and you have to be in shape to keep up." What is it they produce besides verbal promises and refined images? This is what I am talking about. Words and images in media build nothing. They spur discontent with the self. Through media we have a barrage of choices that keep our minds moving. This is the direction to nowheres-ville USA. There is no direction. Like a wedding ring symbolic of love with no end, what we have today is a social ring with no end. The difference between the two is that one signifies love while the other signifies lust, craving, vanity, and the paving of a road using broken dreams of people lost in their media infatuation rings.
