The authentic man is held to a position which is set in stone. In his mind, whatever is chizzled into that rock is golden in its wisdom. At the same time, another authentic man see such a rock and appreciates what it stands for. He may even marvel at its meaning and ponder it once again for a while as it may be familiar to him. He will then walk away without giving it another thought. Later on that day another authentic man may come across the rock and decide to break it into pieces with a sledge hammer. He may only manage a chip off the top of the rock before a ranger comes over and detains him. While waiting for the police, the ranger may ask the man why he did what he did. The man may say, "My father loved this saying and was responsible for this rock and he beat me." Man has many sides. Some are revealed and some are concealed.
