disease to please

It is our disease to please the one entity that matters most. It is our fault that we forget to please ourselves while were are busy trying to make everyone else's world groovy. We often try and visualize what their world is like and try to make it better somehow. During this process we forget about the number one rule. We forget that if we first do not know what is valuable to us; what pleases us; what makes us full inside, then everything after that point can only be partially pleasing no matter how big our smiles seem to be or how people take our nuanced glances that resemble a robot-like predictability that hides a deep sadness. This is when we run to the store and grab a large bottle of gin and some tonic water with 3 limes and just park it, alone, far away from anything real. 98.2
